OP UPDATED!
@Mike/Donnie: Solid improvement, both. Wow.
@Mike: You're really creeping on me now. I can't seem to hit 1M yet. I put in a few tries last night w/ Blanka. Nothing good, though.
@Maru: Playing a game competitively, I can't see even trying to use the unreliable Topmax. I'd suggest using your PS/Sat adapter to work something else out.

Re: Dreamclub: Street Fighter Alpha 3
Most runs are still in the 600K / Stage 6 range. It's interesting that in SFII and SSFIV I really like Sagat and am pretty ok with him. When I use him in this i'm just brutal - stage 3 usually and it's a struggle to get there even. However, when playing AI Sagat he not only anti-airs every attack, he counters with a 6-hit Tiger Uppercut.
So in this iteration - here is who i'm finding really difficult:
Adon
T-Hawk
Akuma
Vega
Rose
Charlie
Sagat
Here is who I really like to see, particularly in later rounds (seem easier):
Honda
Zangief
Sodom
Birdie
Guy

Adon is a jerk.
Zangief and Birdie are really good at grabbing me, I guess cuz I play it close too much.
I don't find anybody particularly "easy" honestly.

What about you, Donnie? Is Adon brutal for you too?
Gief and Birdie in the later rounds can't be held back by short jabs like they can in early rounds. You have to spam projectiles and launch air attacks until your super meter is built up.
Rose beyond round 5 is really tough too.

Re: Dreamclub: Street Fighter Alpha 3
If I do fight Adon, it's usually early on, and he doesn't give me too many problems.
Mine have been Charlie acting like a brick wall.
He blocks everything, and even when I guard crush him, he recovers almost instantly.
Fei-Long and Gen have been pricks as well. They both seem to be excessively good at countering my specials and supers with timed pokes. Sakura beat me once as well.
I agree with the Sagat thing also. In any other SF, he's beastly; in this one, it seems like everyone I fight has my number.

Forgive me guys for the shameless plug I'm about to make. Can assure you its related to the topic. Sundays, I take part in a stream program known as "Street Fighter All-Nighter", shot live at the Jace Hall building (HD Film Studio). A few SoCal players of various skill types get together and play Street Fighter for fun while chating with our viewers (via stream chat, skype etc.) . Starting off with II HD Remix, III 3rd Strike, and ending the duration of the program with IV AE 2012. Been part of the program since its inception 3 episodes ago and enjoy playing and talking SF with gamers across the US.
I was just informed this morning by the program director, that All-Nighter will be adding Alpha 3 to the lineup starting TODAY in celebration of the show running under the http://www.twingalaxies.com/live/ banner for the first time ever. Your viewership and support would be greatly appreciated. I'll be open towards answering any questions relating towards Dreamclub Alpha 3 high score ranking and then some to fellow Racketboy members. Thank you all...

Re: Dreamclub: Street Fighter Alpha 3
No problem. Look forward to seeing any fellow members on chat during the show for any questions or comments or if anyone wants to see me get a beat downmjmjr25 wrote:Cool stuff, CD. Thanks for sharing!
Btw, I am indeed participating on this score attack. Problem is, I cannot find any of my DC sticks at the moment. I'm playing on pad but can't play my best on standard pad. I may just have to deal with it if I cannot find any...

I'm using an ASCII pad for the first time. Obviously a step up from the OEM pad, but I still prefer stick. I may switch it up, but the pad is really convenient for how i'm setup upstairs right now. My hands cramp so bad, particularly w/charge characters. I just played a run w/Charlie and after the 5th round I had to pause for a couple minutes.
