You guys are making me feel like a horrible father. Tonight my daughter will be playing some old school SNES, Genesis, NES, Master System, or TG16 games (emulated on the Wii until I can get around to starting those collections). I've always said that I hope my kids like games. My daughter likes playing games on Nick Jr and on our phones and tablets, but hasn't paid much mind to consoles yet. I'm going to start changing that now.

Frag ---- Expose them and they'll gravitate to what they like. I originally tried to push it on my youngest when she was 3-4 and she just didn't get into it...even at 6-7 she really had no interest. At 8 and up to now, she sorta has things she likes and things she doesn't. She really enjoys point and click, mystery and puzzle games.

My 8 yo loves shmups, fighters and run 'n gun.

My 6 yo loves sports games, twitch games and lots of motion stuff on Wii.

My 4 yo just likes watching at this point.

My favorite genre as a kid was platformer and action platformer. None of my kids enjoy that genre at all...yet.

Just don't put them through smb1 or smb1 deluxe and you might just get them interested  Platformers are great as long as you don't get started on the wrong one(of course I have to have it in small doses because there is a such thing as too many platformers to me XD)

Gotta do a lot of catching up...

My daughter saw me take the pictures of my figures and wanted to take pictures of her own. So here she is with her toys playing Mega Man X. She wouldn't look away from the screen long enough for me to get a decent picture of her.
