That would be great. To me it would've made sense to go that way with wii u in the beginning since the wii u honestly is a home version of a ds as far as I see it...

I think it's going to be a new GamePad for the Wii U that incorporates the ability to play 3DS games natively on it. Either on the GamePad itself or by using the GamePad as the bottom screen and the TV as the top screen.
With how much the Gamepad apparently costs (last I saw, $140 for a replacement one from Nintendo, around $80 just to swap a broken one), that doesn't seem like something that'd make sense unless it was also available as an add-on a la Motion Plus.

Last time hardware came up for Nintendo, it seemed more that a unified approach was in the cards.

'course, they also may be planning to show their Qualify of Life device, whatever that winds up being. The timeline they gave in their investor report would line up, as they planned to show it this year and release it in the 2015-2016 fiscal year.

Right, which is why a stepping stone device bridging the concept would make sense right about now. As long as a GamePad with 3DS functionality built in costs less than a 3DS does, it could sell to Wii U owners.

Also, this is kinda interesting:

it said 99 in my actual Steam dashboard, though this says 97:

...and it occurs to me that I have NFL 08 and Phantasy Star Online listed in my launcher as well, which are non-Steam games so that would account for the 2 discrepancy.

All that taught me is that you need less time in Xcom and more in Half Life and Half Life mods.

haha. Well if Steam had tracked the time I spent on Half-Life and mods (DC) and Half-Life 2, Portal, Portal 2 (360) it would be a different story.

Though at the same time... it also didn't track all the time I spent playing XCOM on 360 either.
