I'll smoke because it's enjoyable! But coughing up phlegm and being short of breath is not.
And I don't actually keep the pack all year. More like a month or two. And they get stale but... WHATEVS. :P

It begs to be asked. What'cha smoke?

My friends who do smoke keep their smokes in their freezer. I kept mine in my left coat pocket.

And when I did smoke, lucky strikes (unfiltered) or camel wides. And when I was single I carried around a pack of Marlboro lights, as that's what the ladies smoked.

I'm taking my girlfriend tonight for Ethiopian food. She's never had Ethiopian before. I've had it before, but it has been nearly two years since the last time I did. Should be fun!

Oooh, tasty! I love Ethiopian food. Mmmm spongy bread thing covered in lots of delicious paste things.

@Luke - That may be my problem this time around too. Anytime I've quit in the past, it was like your experience: "well, don't really feel like doing this anymore." Now, I'm not really tired of it, but I just feel the need to quit. We'll see how this works.

I'm hoping people refrain from using terrible jokes on this one.

That sounds promising.

I was at the point of saying F smoking, and F me for wanting to smoke. I was pissed, I was motivated. I didn't enjoy smoking cigarettes at all, and if I did, quitting would have been a lot tougher. But with any issue, at some point you think "Fuuuuuck this" and move on. Ain't easy, but it's a reward to yourself to quit something you did enjoy.

Sorry to go back to the story of me fasting, but it is relevant. If you can do what others think is impossible, doing "impossible" things becomes easy. And I'm an Internet forum, so I have no issue of saying smokers stink, but face to face I'm humble pie and would never say "you stink" to someone, unless of course they had terrible bo. Well, that and if I saw someone littering a butt I might throw it back at em.

I keep saying "in short" and then babble on, but "in short" if you are ready to quit, you can.

I CAN DO IT! :D

Especially if a human being can become an internet forum. Anything's possible!

I've kept mine in the freezer before. I used a vacuum-sealed plastic bag to prevent condensation from ruining them... then one time it didn't work or something and they ended up SUPER DAMP. D:
I used to smoke Pall Mall because it's fun to say "pell mell" and that's the brand Lupin III/Jigen smoked... because clearly cartoons can't influence behavior?
At some point I switched to "Kamel Reds" part of this was because "smoker lore" dictates that Camel cigarettes have biodegradable filters. I'M PRETTY SURE THIS ISN'T TRUE but whatever. I also occasionally liked cloves or Lucky Strikes. (And would usually use a plastic filter/holder with the latter to not kill my lungs too much?)

Now I opt for plain old boring filtered Camels.
