actual conversation my wife and I had earlier:

"What are you playing?"
"I'm addicted to this card game."
"It's a card game?"
"Yeah, it's all Capcom characters though. I just got Mecha-Zangief."
"Like in Wreck-It-Ralph?"
"Yeah Zangief. This game is so good. I've put in fourteen hours in the past few weeks."
"....so it's like Magic?"

actual conversation I just had my wife on the phone about your two conversations:

Me - So several people on racket are playing Cardfighter Clash on the NGPC
Wife - Before you ask, no you cannot print out all the cards and play it like a table top
Me - Well
Wife - First Interceptors and Awings, then Bombers, then Tantive IV and Shuttle, THEN you can make the card game. (all of these are ships for the Xwings dogfighting game)

I played a bit of Biomotor Unitron this evening. Just a short burst but enough to get a feel for it. It seems a fun RPG that's quite unique for the system.

I've never played Pokemon so I don't know how true comparisons are to that game. It seems to be all about souping up your mech by forging new materials and building new technologies. The dungeons have a random FF style crawling feel to them but the Town itself is handled more like an old graphic adventure in a FP perspective.

Thankfully the translation seems like a decent effort which is a rare thing on NGPC games from what I can tell.

I also beat the SNK story mode on Match of the Millenium but I didn't get to face the final super boss as is normal when using Capcom characters. Was this because I lost the rival match earlier?

This looks interesting. I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on it and how playable you find it to be in Japanese. A pity it never got a translation.

I wasn't a fan myself. It never feels like the notes match the music playing, and the game is really tough to play without knowing Japanese.

Interested to see if Noise has a different experience though.
