The Manchurian Candidate

Still a timeless classic, despite several shortcomings that had come with hindsight/logic (e.g. can't brainwash people in a matter of days; the leeway given to the suspect, the absurdity of the plan etc). I might have to re-watch the remake to see how it compares.

That is such a fantastic move. Angela Lansbury - of all people - is absolutely terrifying in it.

DIdnt see the whole movie (but I have), caught the tail end of The Last Samurai. I love this movie. Ken Watanabe is a phenomenal actor IMO.

Any one can tell me what is the name of the movie where its like The Hunger Games but based on cars. I remember cars being in a circuit and they are loaded with rockets and guns. It might be Death Race 2000 but I am not sure. I am trying to search for it on iTunes.

Intimidation (1960). This short, wonderful Japanese film noir makes Lee Woo-jin's plot for revenge in Oldboy look relatively unsophisticated. I loved it.

@Pulsar_T @samsonlonghair

Found it! Its Death Race from 2008 not Death Race 2000 . I got mixed up between the decades because the cars were modded like they are from twisted metal/MadMax something you would see in the 70s . Today car movies are smooth and slick like the ones in the Fast and the Furious. Also the colours used in the movie are very grey, something you do not expect in a recent movie which are filled with bright colours. I also completely forgot that was a Death Race movie in 2008 altogether.
