Recycle them if you can, many places will take magazines in the newspaper dumpster.

Hopefully this doesn't make me come off as too much of a prick, but my trash can is right outside my door... I know of no such newspaper dumpster...

Well I figured you meant you had alot of them. Not just 1 can full.

Most grocery stores have the recycle dumpsters at the back of their parking lots now could always chuck them in there if you wanted to go green.

you cant donate them to a school for some arts and craft projects?

I did that with my old magazines last year. My aunts friend was a teacher in an elementary school in Mexicali.

Boy did I have a bunch of them. The kids got a lot of stuff to cut out for their homework.

Sucks when you stop by and waste your time so many days waiting for that ONE time when they have something worth buying. I'd say I find something there once every 3 months on average and I'm talking ANYthing worth taking home.

 I know this feeling. Showing up at the same place time after time and finding nothing but scraps. Then one day you walk in and notice some new NES carts on the rack; the excitement of possibly finding something good hits you.....until you realize the carts are Play Action Football, Sesame Street and Mario/Duck Hunt. The realization that everything's been picked through, probably multiple times over, hits you. You leave the store with nothing, yet again.

I actually had to stop going to a couple of Value Village stores because of this exact scenario. It's like, if you can't get there first thing in the morning when they open, there's almost no reason to show up at all.

Oh well. Bring on the garage sales!

I feel the same way also. I just mentioned this to another member. Its sucks looking at all the thrift stores and you find nothing so you go home mad and pissed off. This is why I go on here and ebay. But even then it's such a pain in the ass trying to find a good deal on a game that you want.
It's almost like a headache. And the games online is killing our wallets also. I really wish games were saturated again and no one cared about video games except for gamers

That would be nice, but right now it's a ton of patience to find the game you want at the price that's right...that's the bad thing living in a area where games are semi-popular and everything..

Id imagine their is a bunch of what would be deemed inappropriate material for school in these mags.

Anyway, there is about 30-35 total. When the options are to go to all this trouble or walk out the door and dump them into a trashcan, I know which I will realistically end up doing.

Or how about you guys think of this as a fun hobby instead of getting 'pissed and angry' because you cant find games you want readily available under the market value?

I actually enjoy the hunt almost as much as the games themselves, so I keep finding new methods to help me. I've really had to broaden my reach, mostly out of necessity of course. Where I used to have a few stores that I stuck to like glue, I now use many different methods, ie: thrift stores, flea market, garage sales, facebook buy/sell groups, ect. The more avenues you have, the more chances you can generate. It really is a numbers game.

Or how about you guys think of this as a fun hobby instead of getting 'pissed and angry' because you cant find games you want readily available under the market value?

No need to be harsh friend. I certainly never mentioned anything of the sort. I love the hunt. If some other posters want to feel frustrated with not finding cheap games, let them.

Yeah no need to be harsh. I was making fun of myself more than anything, and I don't know how it could've been interpreted any other way.

Anyways, like someone said: bring on the garage sales. I'm a city boy so it gets me out in the boonies to places I'd normally never travel to. Sometimes it's nice to be in the car without being in any kind of hurry. I do like garage sales because of the hours though. At least I know more or less when to show up if I want to give myself a chance.

It just gets old. I didnt have an issue with your post. I share an 'oh well, not coming back here again' attitude at times if it is just a waste of time. But some people on here and in retro collecting get furious if they cant get below market deals.
