Do you enjoy disappointment?

Post by glynnahab »

Here's Nintendo's first quarter lineup for 2009. Things don't bode well for Wii owners.

I may have to resort to wearing a paper bag over my head while I'm playing We Cheer next year.

Sega might actually have the best lineup

The House of The Dead: Overkill™ - February
MADWORLD™ - March

But usually Q1 is boring as everyone rushes to get their big releases out before Christmas.

Good point. Also, we all know how secretive Nintendo is about things. Don't they have Miyamoto's brain copyrighted or something?

no, super paper mario, although for a while i owned galaxy, but having played through, and wanting money i idiotically traded it in, there are a few other games i want, but i have no motivation to get them until they are way cheaper

was i the only one to read something about zombies and bikini's?? isn't that the most promising title for wii 09??

i'm looking forward to HOTD: Overkill and Madworld and for some stupid reason i have a tiny bit of hope for the new sonic game, i just hope having the sword means u kill enemies by running past them really fast, so we dont have to stop.... also i hope sonic lives in a world of perpetual daytime =D

The problem with that advice is that the "quit it" portion of the process becomes much more complicated after the "hit it" maneuver has been completed. Much easier to "quit it" before all else.

Beyond the Sega titles, I'm looking forward to Little King's Story. That was actually one of my most anticipated Wii titles for a while. Rune Factory: Frontier could be worth while too. And while admittedly not exactly pulling out a lot of stops, the updated port of Pikmin could be cool as well. Plus this doesn't take into account WiiWare, and there's at least one WiiWare game I'm excited about that's scheduled for Q1 (or sooner, last I checked), the Cave Story port. So yeah, the Q1 for the Wii is a bit weak, but there's a few games besides the Sega stuff worth looking into.

However when this guy also criticised the DS, I couldn't really agree with him since there's actually quite a few worthwhile games coming out for when you look in between the shovelware. There's that Elebits game that looked decent, Little Magician's Magic Adventure (An Animal Crossing-like game I've seen clips from and have heard is much better then the DS Animal Crossing), Flower, Sun, and Rain, Avalon Code, new Fire Emblem, new Puzzle Quest, GTA: Chinatown Wars, and Retro Game Challenge. That sounds like a pretty good lineup for what's supposed to be the dry period of games.

Honestly, if you look up EVERY game that's coming out for the 360 and PS3 you'd probably find some real garbage too ya know. Admittedly, it be nice if we got some more games for Nintendo, but it's not like we have nothing, and the DS is actually doing well for itself.

Though that lineup would be MUCH better if they agreed to localize Tatsunoku vs Capcom *wink wink*
I wanted to be a Teminator but they require you have an armored hyperalloy skeleton and mine's mostly recycled truck tires.
