Agreed. I think for me the gameplay isn't the saving grace by any means. I just love the metal world. The creators definitely knew their target audience and catered to them.
Tim Schafer is a great world builder. The snappy dialogue, atmosphere, and characters are what is great about Brütal Legend.

That is not necessarily a bad thing since I am enjoying the game quite a bit and can't wait to get back to it tonight. (Also, I have read good things about the sequels...)
Love Uncharted and agree with the notes. Love the story and characters in those games and Uncharted 2 is better in every way. Enjoy!

I got all three for Christmas. Ripped through the first two and didn't quite finish the last one, but I think I was just burnt out on Uncharted by then. They all have one frustrating battle near the end of the game and I just didn't finish it.

Overall they're solid games with great production values. My only complaints are the climbing becomes really paint by numbers type stuff, and the fading damage mechanic that GoW and Halo popularized doesn't really work when you're a guy wearing jeans and a t-shirt getting hit by rounds shot from a helicopter. Better than the majority of games though for sure.

I've wittled down my focus purely to Castlevania III and Titanfall with just a bit of 3DS thrown in. I know I can beat Castlevania or at least get to the end if I can block off 2-4 hours for it.

Well about to shift my focus to Quest for Camelot solely....that game has been in my backlog for way too long....looks like I'll be playing it on the gb player since I can't find my gba sp which I probably left at my dads. Let's see if I can knock off one of my summer game challenge games within the next week...

Right now I'm playing:

Dragon's Crown- PS Vita
Resident Evil 4- PS2
Super Mario Bros. (Super Mario All Stars)- SNES

I played RE4 once wayyy back in the day but quit really early in the game (like at the first part of the village, so SUPER early). Having a lot of fun with it so far though. Going to try and beat it this time.

I've been playing Radiant Historia (just over 23 hours so far). It's really good. And once I beat it, I'll be finishing off Tales of Eternia (which I've played over 26 hours of).

Started up Gravity Rush for Vita.

I (surprisingly) like it so far.

Playing Red Faction Guerrilla on PC and Pokemon Leaf Green on the GBA.

I used to destroy the shit out of furniture when I worked in Staples a few years ago when the stuff was damaged out of the system. Broke the crap out of tempered glass sheets, flimsy press board, knifed leather chairs, hammered metal file cabinets, and bunch more stuff. Fantastic stress reliever. Great when my managers joined in. Red Faction Guerrilla: closes thing to that in game form.

It's almost disturbing how much I'm enjoying FFXHD.
