Hey, I love cold and hate hot as well. It's just... Minnesota isn't worth it. I'd rather turn a freeze ray on Seattle or something.Aramonde wrote:I think this is the first time anyone has ever said this sentence.I really love cold weather and HATE hot weather. Frown: Last night I heard this loud pop and initially thought it was a fuse from one of my consoles blowing, but everything was still working. I assumed it was something in the game I was playing. Then today during a quiet moment I heard the pop again. I took a look behind my PC and the baseboard by the exhaust of my PC's power supply has expanded by 1/4" compared to the rest of the baseboard and the top has split open; the popping I heard was the wood violently giving way. I did an inspection and there doesn't seem to be any water leakage anywhere, so I'm going to have to remove the baseboard to see what might have caused it. I'm hoping it's just the exhaust heat over time combined with a couple incidents of my cats peeing in that area that has caused the wood to give way, and not something more serious.

Smile: Bought tickets for my best friend and I for the Jason David Frank meet and greet at Wizard Comic Con this summer. 1994 me is totally jealous right now.
Frown: Finally got time to game tonight and couldn't seem to focus on any title for more than a couple of minutes. Accomplished nothing. This happens a lot lately.

Actually, looking through completed listings, it's generally gone for £20 to £30 - none have sold for over £30 recently.ExedExes wrote:Good luck on that one. I don't know if PAL copies are crazy expensive, but VGPC has CIB completed auctions in the past few months at $30-$45 (£18 to £27) with some $50 (£30) and up now. I scored it for $20 (w/shipping) back in 2012.alienjesus wrote:Ikaruga
EDIT: I just went to ebay.co.uk and they're trending at £30 ($50) to £50 ($84)! Yikes.
That's pretty much what I expected. Gamecube games used to be released at £40 new back in the day, so this isn't crazy, unlike the £40-50 Kirby Air Ride.

This is why you have so much trouble with SMB1, null. You know all those levels you skipped? They have dozens of 1-up mushrooms and hundreds of coins. You're not cheating the game by using the warp pipes; you're cheating yourself out of many extra lives while skipping straight to the hardest levels.nullxor wrote:Well I always 'cheat' even without the Game Genie.
World 1-2, warp to world 4-1 then warp to world 8-1 from 4-2.
Think about that strategy for a moment. You are rushing straight to the hardest levels under equipped. You know you have to face hammer-tossing Bowser eventually. Wouldn't you rather have a few extra lives before you face him? The more conventional route will take more time, but will net you more lives along a gradual difficulty curve.
Next time, don't take the warp pipes. Just proceed along the game from start to finish. You'll find it's considerably easier this way.

Sold an item to a reseller who fishes for mislabeled items on eBay or something
.
Got positive feedback but the comment was kind of negative in my opinion "game in okay shape" which kind of ticked me off. He got a decent PSP RPG for $3.67 shipped since it never passed the opening bid of $0.99 it was game only in a generic case and the umd casing was somewhat scratched up but it still played fine and the umd itself was in good shape
. Was listed as acceptable with "no case or manual included".
So I go to his page since he has an insane amount of feedback to see what the deal is. Apparently "game in okay shape" is about as good as his comments go looks like everything else is him nit picking peoples items and talking about how he got a full or partial refund
. Guess I'm lucky he didn't try to pull that bs with me.
My listings are pretty fool proof since I never list anything above acceptable unless it's complete and I give a pretty good description of any wear/damage. Think I might block him just to be safe though definitely don't want a guy fishing out my auctions looking for reasons to ask for a refund.

I don't care that because of next weeks mandatory meeting I'm getting paid for 26.05 hours. If I ever have to do that again I think I may just hurl...
