Need help for issues with my psone.
Need help for issues with my psone.
Have some minor issues with my psone and kinda need help for it. Is been almost 5 months since I take out my psone with the LCD screen out from my room to play a game. I pop in a game and turn on my psone. At first everything went by fine right toward the Sony logo. Then the system somehow go to the music system for the psone which I didn't expect to see. So, I restart it again and it happened again. Try the restart few more time and either I got the Music display or error that I need to insert a playstation game disc. After my 12 tries, it let me see the playstation logo and went to the game screen. Do anybody have this problem before?

IF that still doesn't work. Get some q-tips and some 100% alcohol and lightly clean the lens with the q-tip in a circular motion. When I say lightly, I mean VERY LIGHTLY. You'll be surprised at how much dirt comes off when you do this. You'll probably use at least 2 q-tips to do it.

Hey again. Just want to update this, I try what you guys say and it still doesn't start up the normal way. I have to keep restarting few times (around 10 now) just to go to the PlayStation logo. Kinda weird for me. It still work well but the system doesn't want to start the normal way.

Did you clean the lens with 100% alcohol? If you used 73% (or whatever is common in stores) it leaves a residue on the lens. If you didn't use 100% alcohol on it, try rubbing the lens with a q-tip again, a few times.

90 - 95% should also work fine and be much easier to find in stores. The other 5% - 10% should be distilled water, therefore not a problem.
