What do you make of that? Saturn games on PSP?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I found a link at Penny Arcade of a interview with a PR guy from Sony. I was really amazed with the GiriGiri thing. Did anyone know about this? I thought even modernPCs had trouble emulating Saturns, how does a PSP pull it off?

Interesting!
I didn't know that Princess Crown was emulated either.

I blogged it:

Digg the story:

actually SSF is quite a good Saturn emulator, taking saturn emulation up quite a few levels. Its no where near as good as even N64 emulation, but its starting to really get good enough for people to actually use. Unfortuantely most people don't have a computer to really use SSF, so its a no go for most peeps :\

Well, Saturn emulation will be a wonderful addition to the PSP. I'm glad, because I own one. ^_^

I will definitely make full use of it once it's commercially released, then hacked, then integrated into devhook or a yet to be created hacked firmware. I wouldn't get that many games though for it, seeing as Alpha 3 Max was released, and all the other Capcom upgrades and remakes are making their way to the PSP, the only point would be to play Panzer Dragoon Saga, Nights, and other exclusive, Sega titles. After that trailer for Night's 2 (I hate you for that racketboy!!!!), that's all I want to play. I have my Dreamcast, PSP (Portable emulation, GO!), and Saturn for my retro needs. I think it's time to look toward the future of gaming... like Night's 2.

Sounds interesting! Although, the PSP only has 6 buttons (including shoulders) - might make it a bit tough for those Saturn games that require all 8.
