How is the PSO games different from the Dreamcast versions?

I'm not quite sure what you're asking here...?

PSO on Dreamcast is Episode I.
PSO on GameCube/Xbox is Episodes I & II.
Episode III (GameCube only) was a weird card game.
Blue Burst (PC only) was Episodes I, II & IV.

Ver. 2 has ultimate mode, which is in all the later versions on Xbox, GC, and PC.

Xbox and Gamecube have Episode II, which is not on any of the Dreamcast releases.

I thought the GameCube games were ports only or with added content. Good to know there is a PC version, maybe I can get a downloaded. Will be cheaper and chances to play online is higher.

Nice MJ recently plugged in Frogger Swamps Revenge and been having fun with it. Although the DC was only around a short time theres something for everyone on the DC library.
