What was the last movie you've seen?

I really enjoy spy thriller/conspiracy style movies, with the conspiracy part set in WW2/Cold War. Stuff like the tapes from the dharma initiative in Lost, or that scene in Captain America 2
where they go in the bunker
, always give me goosebumps of excitement (not sure if that makes sense).

Anyway, anyone know any movies like that with some nice plot twists, for me to watch?
Check out Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. Great cast with some clever twists.
The film is pretty good, but I recommend checking out the miniseries first. Some of the Beebs' finest work.

There's also The Fourth Protocol.

I think what ZeroAX is hinting at are large-scale, almost out-of-this-world conspiratorial thrillers. The Sum of All Fears might fit the bill. There were also several other Tom Clancy adaptations.

I saw CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER night before last. I really enjoyed it. I was a fan of the first Cap movie and I thought Evans did a good job, so I'm not surprised that I liked this one set with the modern characters that I like. I do think that these one off movies are getting increasingly weird not having any other Avenger show up. I mean they get tech from Tony Stark and somebody goes for an interview at Stark Tower. You just have to gloss over that stuff I guess.

No, Tom Clancy seems to be exactly what I wouldn't want xD.

Anyway I'm downloading the movies you guys proposed, and Conspiracy specifically sounds very interesting, thanks :)

For some reason at 4:30 this morning:

I went in with low expectations so it wasn't too bad. I've seen worse.

Basically, the plot involves... oh, wait. Who cares? The whole thing's just the fever dream of a fangirl who overdosed on Twilight fanfiction and spliced in some Harry Potter and Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the end results just screams "tween pandering". Suddenly Twilight's not so bad. Not really.

But if you want QUALITY book-based urban fantasy, check out Nightwatch and its sequel Daywatch (which ironically is based NOT on the book Daywatch but rather just the last two-thirds of Nightwatch that didn't fit into the first movie).

Transcendence sucks? Now there's a surprise. I believe Zero Theorem is also a disappointment. Is there any forthcoming GOOD science fiction worthy of note?

It might not be exactly what you are looking for, but I would go with The Conversation (1974) or All the President's Men (1976).

The very best one of all, however, is The Manchurian Candidate (1962). It is fantastic.

EDIT: Again, they might be exactly what you are looking for, but I also recommend Suddenly (1954) and Kiss Me Deadly (1955), which is one of my personal favorites.

It had around a 13% on rotten tomatoes last time I checked. That's pretty low.

Bryan Singer and twinks huh?

In Time with Justin Timberlake. Great movie IMO, but I like weird flicks such as this one. I would say it is cyberpunk-ish... might not be the right genre, but it felt as such to me anyway.

Go check it out!

Having read the book and watched the film "concurrently", I can safely say the critical bashing of the film was well-justified. The book itself is clever and gripping, although it does fall short in the imagination department, just like Inception did (e.g. the things manifested in those works always tend to fall short of the potential scope allowed within them.) The film however, unlike Inception, had only few redeeming qualities.
