Virtua Cop: Elite Edition
Virtua Cop: Elite Edition
Anyone know if this is good? FYI, this is a port/remake of Virtua Cop 1 & 2 over to the PS2. It was only released in Europe and Japan.

Yes, it's a Virtua Cop 1/2 port. So it's good if you liked both those games (which I do).
I literally laugh out loud whenever the voice over guy says "elite edition". It's like he's on helium or something.

It's a little more than just a straight port, if has slightly improved graphics (the biggest difference is the resolution) and some mini-games. Other than that it's Virtua Cop 1 and 2, in one disc, what could possible be better for a light-gun shooter fan?

This is going to sound cliched, but Youtube is your friend
To be honest I wasn't impressed by VC Re-birth. I'm waiting ElSemi's perfecting his Model 2 emulator instead (and afaik VC2 isn't even supported yet). The original Daytona is far superior to its Dreamcast remake as well.

necromance thread, thread 'live....'!
This is an awesome pack of ports, not much else, but the games themselves is enough.
I have this hooked up to a stereo and I don't know weather to shoot or to dance, so I'm kinda doing both, it's weird. Great music. I play the Japanese version (re-birth) which also has an English text option.
Just saw the linked vids
Indeed that voice over guy that says elite edition should get shot!

Can someone post a picture of the manual to explain what all the options do?
What is vc1 or vc2 mode? I see that the blinking zooming scopes around enemies are different, but what else is different?
