Looking for another Xbox hidden gem?

Post by JC48573 »

Consider Quantum Redshift. Game is very cheap to get and you don't have to be a racer fan to like this game. Oddly enough, I came across this title by chance on youtube where I clicked on one of the videos as I was browsing for more xbox hidden gems. The video I saw started off with like a rivalry cutscene, which it's often rare to see in racing games (some games can benefit a lot from it). I thought the pilots looked pretty nice like out of a Japanese game or something and another thing I like about it is how some characters speak in different languages.

I also did some research on who worked on this game and it appears the guy who created the first Wipeout games is the one responsible. As for the character models, they were indeed created by some Japanese guy known as Satoshi Ueda who is well known for his 3D modeling skills.

Quantum Redshift is indeed a hidden gem for the console, I agree. Powerdrome and XGRA: Extreme-G Racing Association are also good picks for futuristic racers on the console. But stay away from Pulse Racer, it's rather terrible.

I found the game to be excessively hard. Nice looking game, though...
