A friend and I were at the mall and we notice a woman standing outside of AT&T looking at their advertising. We couldn't see her face but notice she had a nice figure, wearing nice clothes from one of those American Eagle type of stores. So, here we are checking her out like:
But, when she turned around and she morphed into a retirement age silver fox. We were like:
They could also have the kids write a letter to someone they know or just to their own house. And make them pay for the stamp too . US stamps are 50 cents now aren't they?

That'll happen in due time; there are still some instances where you pretty much have to use snail mail. Certain bills, depositing checks when you're far from the bank, insurance paperwork.

Oh yeah forgot about that im talking about to talk to someone. Everyone had phones in their house when i grew up, but if someone lived far away we would still talk by letter because we didn't want to pay the long distance fee's.

I think the last time I wrote a letter was in 2007 or 8, to my aunt. She has a phone and email but for some reason my relatives stuck to using snail mail for communication until Facebook got big.
Plus there's the fact that thank-you and birthday cards just aren't the same via email.

My daughter is eight and has her own iPod. I maintain her iTunes account and she has to ask permission to download anything. When there is a particular song she wants, I usually buy the entire album. I'm trying to encourage her to explore.
I know a few kids that have hand me down iPhones. I've always resold my old phones.
I am considering getting her an iPad for her birthday this year. She has the iPod touch, so she already uses it to play minecraft etc. I figure I would normally have bought a computer for her by this point anyway, but a full blown computer seems excessive these days.
