nothing to rub in, brah. You know (cuz I've talked about it to you so many times) just how much I adore Illmatic. So you know that I'm holding it to the highest degree for such a reissue. The thing is this - the bonus disc is 10 excellent tracks. There's no denying that. I'm only let down that it's not like 30 excellent tracks like it could have been.

I completely agree with you but couldn't miss the opportunity to make a one hand joke.

so when it comes to music, I actually switched to digital for the most part back in like 2005. Basically, whichever is cheaper - digital or physical - is what I buy. So usually digital. And the only CD's and vinyl I really cared about collection has remained my Sonic Youth collection. But lately I'm starting to think about focusing on collecting hip hop CD's. I mean, it's something I'm really, really geeky about. So I'm starting to feel like I'd love to have all those liner notes to dig through. Back when I was a youngin' it's hard to tell you just how much amazing music I discovered by simply researching all the samples cleared in classic hip hop tracks. Plus, there's the archival side, where a lot of golden age stuff has gone, and remained out of print in the physical realm.

Anyway, just sort of rambling, but be prepared for pics of hip hop finds haha.

what would we argue about? I'm really not interested in judging if somebody crying is cool or not.

Noise won't argue, but I will.

How exactly is it pathetic that an artist gets emotional when he sees the positive effect that something he created has on the world?

So...any fans of Northstar? Because apparently Andre Johnson just tried to kill himself.

what the... wow. The only Northstar stuff I was familiar w/ were their tracks on The Sting/The Swarm. Can't say I really paid them much attention. But this is kind of insane.
