What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Tell her all about me!

Also had the phone interview today... I truly feel like I blew it out of the water. Dayum, feeling good now. It sounds like they need people asap. Got some follow up placement tests to take tonight and hopefully I hear back tomorrow, or they'll hear from me!

I seriously feel like walking around and the smiling thing changed the game. Definitely felt like I took control. Best phone interview I've ever had. Hopefully this leads to face to face, those I feel even more confident about!

Assertive!

True story, I watched this Ultimate Warrior (RIP) promo compilation earlier this morning as part of my preparation. I think there's no denying it got me amped up.

Awesome.

Funny how the little things can change almost everything.

Keep that assertive attitude, and keep at 'em. Email the dudes and dudettes that interviewed you, thank them for their time, and tell them "I'm looking forward to my next interview". Do that asap and keep a tone of confidence. It sounds dicky, but it isn't; they lose if they don't hire you.

Go get 'em.

 : Brother just got back from classes. Today he went to his adviser to make sure he had a good schedule picked out for next fall. Adviser okayed the schedule then told him he might want to take a year off or transfer since the program he was supposed to be getting into is being delayed due to funding issues :P.

Hm I wonder where the funding for the new engineering building and program went it's been in the works for years now and the building has been in construction over a year now and is 75% done. Oh wait forgot they decided to build an indoor football field next door to our regular stadium  . Wonder if the athletics department is having any funding issues.

Well really happy today decided to take the plunge and look at the pawn shops. Found 5 games for $25. Really a reason to smile today, especially since one was injustice ultimate for vita for $10. :D Would've loved to had some other stuff the others have but I held off :? Ah well maybe next month

My wife asked "Any ties you can donate to some kids?". Do I? Do I!

Four out of dozens of many ties I donated, but I picked these out as I do think they're pretty neat-o.

I bought a Game Genie with the book for $12 at the retro store and I haven't had this much fun in awhile. Although I STILL can't beat Mario 1 even with unlimited lives. I gave up after an hour. :x

The gbc deluxe version is 10x easier with saves and everything...I just keep forgetting to put it in my gbc or gba sp and play it...maybe you should get that one and try and it bet it that way :P

If you can press A and B, the game basically gives you infinite lives. I'm not trying to joke around.

What's your issue? Let us know where you get stuck.

My issue is always with the Hammer Bros., especially the one right before Bowser. I got through once and then Bowser threw what looked like 10 hammers at me when I tried to jump over.

The game is unforgiving in the later levels. 8-3 and 8-4 can be total bastards. If I lose my fire flower I'm usually toast.
