The DS Book I & II compilation is good... It uses some odd "3D" graphics which makes everything look slanted. There's a map on one of the screens which is a nice touch. Ultimately I think the PSP port looks and plays a bit better overall. Though the absolute best is of course the Turbo Duo version. 8)

I'm playing FF VII on my PS3 using an arcade stick, because the d-pad on the dual shock 3 is so hard to use I can't enjoy the game, and I can't use the control sticks to move Cloud around.

Tell me about it. And the fact that he moves on an isometric plane makes it even worse

Oh dear god yes that's annoying. Having to slide my finger along a d-pad that just wasn't made for this type of use.

I started this file of FF VII 2 weeks ago and I only got 2 hours in because of that, and in a single playthrough of using the arcade stick I got another 2 hours in ;).

Though it's funny to hear the click-click-click when I move Cloud around

Currently I'm playing Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader. It's a western action-RPG that contains elements of Fallout, Baldur's Gate, and Diablo, though game reviewers around the time of its release criticized it for not being sure of which of these it wanted to be. So far the game has been a lot of fun, though I've heard the final third is where things bog down, as the game was rushed towards the end of its development and loses a lot of its open-ended method of dealing with problems in favor of straight combat. Hopefully I'll not have too much of a problem, but we'll see.

Playing Skies of Arcadia Legends on my modded Wii through Dios Mios.

Sad that of all my games im playing a game i dont physically own, but at least its not emulated like with Dolphin.

But anyways, i just finished Shrine Island and heading back to Pirate Island.

Liking the traditional feel the game has, no gimmicky abilities or weird skill trees, makes me want to pick up Bravely Default after hearing how traditional it is and the homage it pays to 80's and 90's Dragon Warrior/Final Fantasy.

Glad to see someone playing a WRPG. And an obscure one at that.

I will hopefully roll through at least a few this year. We'll see what gets picked for Together RPG and one of the Together Retro games is Ultima IV.

Yeah, thanks to GOG, I'm able to play through more WRPGs. I intend to fight for a very specific WRPG for Together RPG, and I have Ultima IV on GOG. I've been hankering to play more WRPGs lately, so I might consider picking up games like Arx Fatalis, Gothic, Heretic Kingdoms, or even Inquisitor, and I need to get around to playing the Fallouts and those Ultima Worlds games that I got for free.

By the way, if you haven't ever played it, and if you enjoy action RPGs like Diablo, I'd recommend you check out Nox. It's a great game that gets overlooked way too much.
