I'm finally sold on this series with this game.

Might as well go big or go home - that's what I did.

SL160, final boss beat, 3 optional bosses to go.

I feel like I've hit a bit of a wall and might need to redo my build or focus on better equipment now.

I typed it up to save it for reference and may as well post it here:

VGR - 38
END - 26 (seems it tops out at 20?)
VIT - 22
ATN - 16
STR - 50
DEX - 24
ADP - 21
INT - 10
FTH - 6

I really have no idea what the point of that high of DEX is for, but I guess it probably helped my damage a little here and there. INT was the last thing I just bumped up a little just to get that one NPC in No Man's Wharf to move.

I'm thinking I kind of want to do a STR/Faith build.

There's no reason to go above 20 in Endurance??

People seem to say yeah you can, but I just noticed a noticeable drop in the stat leveling after 20. I noticed STR kind of caps at 50 but still can go up after several more levels, etc.

That's been like that in every souls game though. I haven't played 2 yet but I'm guessing it goes like this. After 20 instead a level raising stats by say 3 or 4 while raising defense it's now 1 or 2 (not sure about the defense in 2 though.) Still going over 40 isn't recommended because diminishing returns really start to kick in and you are better off placed in another stat since you will be getting the defense bonus.

Xeo, how would you rank Dark Souls II in the series? I personally rate them:

1. Dark Souls
2. Demon's Souls
3. Dark Souls II

I love the series though, even Dark Souls II...

Since I couldn't get into this series before now, for me it is:

1. Dark Souls II
