One time I had a super duper awesome Double Saber of some sort when I just started years ago that I dropped offline from a death that was totally preventable. I figured it wasn't going to be an issue to pick it back up.
Unbeknownst to me, my step dad was doing electrical work in the house and was flipping random breakers... one going to the outlets in my room while I was about halfway to my weapon. I nearly fractured my skull from the epic facepalm.
"Farewell, good hunter. May you find your worth in the waking world."
decided to start Shenmue II for like the third time today. Everytime I attempt to play it though, I dont get very far before I end up dropping it for some reason. When I played the first around 2002 ish, I loved it and played it non stop, but I cant seem to get hooked yet on II. I put in about 3 hours today, and since I am sick, and wont be going to work on Monday, maybe I will be able to get some decent time in the next 2 days, and hopefully get hooked. I know I will just be setting myself up for disappointment if I finish it, but its been sitting on my shelf for too long!
I've been playing some Dreamcast games in between Steam games lately. I discovered Spawn: in the Demon's Hand in GameFAQ's "Games You May Like" section one day and decided to burn a disc for it. I've only played a couple of stages so far, it looks promising. In keeping with Capcom, I've also been playing Cannon Spike. I've known about this game for years, but I haven't played it until recently. At first, I found the control scheme awkward, but once I got used to it, I found myself appreciating it quite a bit. I haven't beaten it yet, but I'm planning on spending some more time with it.

I'm not quite sure. Remember we had gone back to get the weapons we dropped at Falz the other night? When I powered up tonight, it was gone. Really confused what happened there. Anyway, the second one I lost in-quest last night. What pissed me off was it wasn't even that I died, it was that the NPC died. Ugh. I guess I could have back-tracked to find it, but honestly, it was after putting about an hour into the quest and I was so mad about losing it that I just couldn't continue playing anymore.
Also... nobody thinks it's too much that I've got 3 DC's hooked up in the same room, right?
Fired up the Dreamcast version of Street Fighter Alpha 3 last night and then the next two hours vanished. I've had it for awhile but hadn't put much time into it. I am really loving the remixed World Tour - also, it's like a whole new experience to play the game with a proper fighter controller (6 button Saturn model 2) and all the new Isms.
Also, looks amazing on VGA. Arcade level experience.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
always wished they had remade the first Street Fighter in the Alpha 3 engine. I mean, in a sense that's what the Alpha games are. But would have been awesome to have every single SF1 character available.
