Decided to replay Snatcher today and I pop the game in..Sega Cd boots up, Checks disk then it just goes to the cd player menu and the red light on the Sega Cd just keeps blinking. I have used this unit for 9 years with zero problems. Any idea what I need to do?
I have two other sega cd units that I have found over the years, but niether will even power up. Any advice on these as well? Might as well try to fix all three units at once.
Model 2 Sega CD stopped reading disks.

For the ones that will not power up, check the fuse.

The factory fuse is green near the top left of the board. A quick google should find a guide with pictures. Just actually replace it with a fuse, don't just solder in a wire. You can wire up a holder or a connect a different shape fuse, just make sure the rating (1.5 Amp I think) matches and that it is a fast blow type if it's a glass one.
