@ Chaos Reborn - Totally gonna back that right now - Everything Julian touches turns to gold - I prefer his later classic works having tried the earlier too. Actually don't care for the game as I see it, but I really want him to keep doing what he does. If this doesn't make it he might not remake Laser Squad. Thanks for the heads up! I hope he makes more crowdfundable games.

@Anapan check out the Gamers With Jobs podcast from a couple of weeks ago with Julian Gollup. I wasn't initially that thrilled by the concept, buy having him describe it and talk about it, had me salivating at the end.

Holy crap - listening to it now. Also, so excited I misspelled his name :P
Thanks!

Having heard it, I'm a lot more excited about this game.
I mentioned it to my friend and he's on board too. He said "Well he *did* make the best game that's ever existed - I'd be stupid to not fund it".

Something to think about - In Julian's words "To date I know of around 35 of these clones which have been made publicly available and there has certainly been hundreds more attempted".

I played Chaos, it was pretty fun.

I also played a demo of the game Magic and Mayhem (which I think people here may appreciate trying), which has some concepts from Chaos.
It took me a while to remember the title (which I see now was cleverly cameo'd in the description of the kickstarter...).
I was even about to post a thread here. In the end I managed to find it because the game uses a "portmanteau", and with some searches google eventually delivered the name.

HEART FORTH, ALICIA

This is the first kickstarter I've actually funded. I want to share so you can consider it too. Looks right up my alley.

Those graphics and animations are gorgeous, and yet another argument that 3D is not the end-all-be-all.
