The last time I visited Asheville, my wife and I ate at The Admiral, and I insisted on the beef tartare. It was topped with a raw quail egg, and it was absolutely amazing.

(BTW, anyone planning a trip to Asheville should make a reservation there. The restaurant is fantastic, and the prices are very reasonable given the food's quality.)

That's not the only example of a licensed game in the US that was re-purposed from something completely different in Japan (in some cases, even Japan slaps a popular license on a game made in the US)

Asheville is NC's equivalent of San Fransisco.

I went to college there, and I can confirm that the main part of the city is full of hipsters, freaks, hippies, and all sorts of lovely wackiness. However, venture outside the main city area and you are in most any other part of NC—rednecksville.
