What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Caught a bug that's going around. Woke up around 12:30-1am last night and ended up rocketing out both ends, and puking in the trash can that's next to the toilet, mostly because I didn't wanna try to aim for the tub and miss. Crashed and woke up about 4-5 hours later and my stomach hurt like hell. It felt like I was hungry but didn't want to chance it. So far all I had was just some French toast, which my brother fixed for me not knowing my current state. I've been trying to just sweep until I feel better.

Good luck with that. Like many people in North Carolina, that virus put me down hard two weekends in a row. Keep your fluid and electrolyte levels up by drinking water, pedialyte, or sports drinks and keep your stomach settled by eating only foods that are gentle on it (i.e., bread, rice, saltines, applesauce, bananas, etc.). Avoid spicy foods, dairy, alcohol, and coffee.

Got an in person interview for a job and am very excited for it. The job has a lot going for it.

1. It pays better than retail.

2. It is not retail.

They are excited to see me too as I had an over the phone interview initially and they made me take an internet typing test to prove I could type at 85 words per minute and I scored a 94 words per minute. It is always nice to have a freak skill to make yourself stand out. Mine just happens to be typing.

Venting

: Burnt out. Having to finish up a financial report for the Criminal Justice Honors society I am a part of . Graduated last December but they didn't get around to electing a new treasurer till last week so I have to finish up this semester before I can chuck the book at them lol. I am $15 short on the books and I can't figure out why will have to run around to the banks tomorrow to see if I can get the statements from the last two months seeing as I haven't received a physical statement in since the start of the year .

: Also having to help my grandmother send some files to their medicaid adviser couldn't find a lot of the documents they needed and I'm getting a little pissed that the job has been passed down to me since I have no clue what I am doing .

Edit: I don't mind helping her I do it all the time it's just they paid a "adviser" a somewhat ridiculous amount of money and I am having to do all the foot work which is pissing me off. Also had to resend all the documents I scanned because the genius didn't know how to print a freaking JPEG I really hope they aren't being scammed because this "adviser" seems to have a rather low IQ.

Dad got rid of his Expedition last week because it was "to big to be driving back and forth to work and it was a gas guzzler". His goals were to downsize to a smaller vehicle with good gas mileage that he could pay off with the money he got for his expedition which he took a substantial financial lose on since he just bought it two months ago . He however ended up buying a 4 door truck off eBay which he had to drive down to South Carolina to pick up and it cost over twice what he made selling his car. To top it off the gas mileage is actually worse and it has damage to both bumpers. It's his money though so whatever just wish he was a little more patient and would spend it a little more wisely.

Smile: Loving the new job though I wish there was less onboarding. I'm ready to get into my job specific training.

Frown: Between the commute and the way too generous lunches my instructors are handing out, I feel like I'm spending 12 hours doing work related stuff every day. Between that and taking care of my family, I feel like I never have a chance to do anything gaming related. This is a temporary problem but it's irksome.

Called my Grandmother again tonight for the big Piano sing along, and besides my Grandmother (the one who is 93) everyone else thought I was my Father.

I didn't correct anyone, as I thought it would be rude, nor did I play along for the same reason. Just "Hey yeah, can I speak to Grandma?".

My Grandmother and I sang "Show me the way to go home", "Good night my little Buckaroo", "Here Come the Hawks", "Take me out to the ball game", "Beer barrel Polka", "76 Trombones", and assorted military songs my G-Pa would sing.

Can't help it. Music is in my blood. I play everyday, my wife and I dance everyday, and a day without music to me is a day not worth living.

I am with you. Even though I can't really sing, music always has a place in my home. I can play a lot of different instruments and my wife can play the piano and we never stop dancing and laughing and being goofballs with music. When we have children, I never want the home to be devoid of music, even if that music is the chaos of every day life. Thanks man for sharing!

My grandpa was in a band after he got out of the war called The Muskrats . I have his guitar. It is a 1956 Gibson Country and Western edition.
