It is a major departure, especially since Toshiro Tsuchida was not involved in it. That said, I like to keep an open mind for new ideas so I have bought a copy of the game. I have not played it yet though.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Have you tried Front Mission Evolved? It looks like a major, major departure for the series, but it is so cheap that I am tempted to purchase it.

Yeah. It is less than $5 at Gamestop...so the fact it has the words "Front Mission" written on it may be enough for me to pick it up.

Dynasty Warriors 8 Complete Edition. Very fun, if you like these types of games. No make your own character in this installment of the series though.

FFX for vita, I can only do one game at a time (wish I could say the same for woman haha) and I never trusted that Seymour..it feels like I'm playing a new game again since I haven't played X since it's initial release on ps2
As for my next game..I'm thinking either earthbound or majoras mask..any suggestions?

Kingdom Rush - PC and Android
I am not a huge tower defense fan, previously I only liked games where I directly can control aspects of it - Orcs Must Die, Dungeon Defenders, Toy Soldiers, etc. But this one just has a great art style, simple mechanics, not overtly difficult, and it is part of the current Humble Bundle. I beat the main game on Android already, I am working on the Steam version now. It is just a fantasy tower defense title with four tower types, movable heroes, and the ability to bring in two man reinforcement teams or reign fire from the sky. It is a fun way to kill a lunch break, or get through a stupid mandatory online training for work... Highly recommended for people with any interest in the genre. It is currently sub $4 on the Humble Bundle.
FTL Advance - PC
A combination of Sensors 2, Anti Biobeam, Mind Control Device, and Teleporter makes the game very interesting. Also the ability to play without the additions.
The Ship - PC
Your average ordinary murder simulator, on a steam boat with every npc possibly being out to kill you while you are trying to kill one of them. Playing it single player is horrible, but playing it with other people it is an amazing experiment of how pissed you can make Ack.

Re: What are you playing?
Final Fantasy (NES) - I'm almost done. I think I'm ready to finally fight Chaos after much grinding.
Metroid Prime (GC) - I got quite frustrated in the Phazon Mines and had to take a break. I will go back to it soon enough as this is a must complete game for me.
Sin & Punishment: Star Successor (Wii) - Currently on the last boss. I'm going for completion sometime this week.
Once I get through FF1 and S&P, I'll most likely start Four Swords Adventures for GC. I just picked it up this week for a steal and I'm looking forward to a nice, easy game to fly through after the torture some of these others have put me through.

You're doing it right. This is the best game I've played on Wii. Freaking amazing.vatermuzik wrote:Sin & Punishment: Star Successor

Re: What are you playing?
Agreed. It's an incredible game with some grueling, but fair difficulty. I can't remember the last game that gave me such a sense of accomplishment after beating a stage.Exhuminator wrote:You're doing it right. This is the best game I've played on Wii. Re: What are you playing?
I needed to get through the original FF once in my lifetime. I did Dragon Warrior last year, now this. I think I'm due for a looooooong break from grind fests after I complete this.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Hell yes!vatermuzik wrote:Final Fantasy (NES) - I'm almost done. Then again, Dragon Warrior II is staring at me from the shelf with it's dead eyes!
