Agree 100%. Hell, I didn't know what was going on AFTER beating the game at first. But it was one of those stories that after I chewed on it for awhile, I realized how truly epic it was.
Unfortunately, a lot of games look terrible on a movie screen sized background. Of course, my theater is no where near as huge as a commercial theater, but it provides a "movie feel".

Holy crap does Infinite look beautiful on a big screen.

The game, a VIDEO GAME, made me completely forget what I was doing and where I was. I'm still in awe of how bizarre and fun that experience was.

I want to know what Michael Seeblus and Carlo Esperanto are saying over on AVN forums about this game.

I remember when I first hooked up my computer to my 50" TV (which I sat 8 feet away from). I fired up the original Doom and thought it was amazing.

Infinite was such a huge disappointment, one of the biggest in gaming for me. The combat felt boring along with the level design to where i knew where enemies were going to come out from. The story wasn't that interested and convoluted at the end. The setting and art design were great for the first couple hours but after they lost their charm.

This summed up my views pretty well. Its a long video and will have major spoilers.

I thought it was just okay. I thought the story was less impressive and more an excuse to make everything so ambiguous. Yeah it's grounded in some wacked out scientific theory that everyone secretly knows has virtually no chance of being real, but I still thought it was kind of pretentious. I agree that the combat was boring, and honestly Elizabeth and a lot of the other character models looked really new school Disney to me which I didn't like.

You 1-up me.

When my Father plugged my Sega CD (with Q Sound, mind you) into his stereo and 36" Sony I didn't think gaming could get better.

I may have been right.

Thanks for the vid, which also explained the ropey timeline lol. Subscribed! I think you also checked out Errant Signal's channel.

I'm watching his MGS4 review haha.. I'm still sore about the crazy amount of mind-numbing cutscenes, and he points this out in detail.

I think i found out about Errant Signal from a video you posted. And i think i found Matthew's video in the side bar of ES Infinite review :D

Matthew's reviews and analysis of games are some of the best i've seen. I love both his MGS series review and his 3D Zelda series review.

I like his videos as well. A lot of youtuber's can base their arguments on very nitpicky things, but Matthew cuts straight to the stuff that actually matters and doesn't rage. It's refreshing.

The save system in Infinite is a god-awful mess - it's actually the reason I stopped playing halfway through. I loved the first two games but this one...nah. I can't even imagine what the developers were thinking taking away the ability to save whenever you wanted. Making a game less convenient sure as hell isn't a selling point for me.
