The Wii had some good third party support/exclusives but no one cared
Very true. The Wii had lots of exclusive (or at least, for several years) first person shooters as well, which unfortunately due to the platform never really made any waves. Off the top of my head, The Conduit games, Goldeneye, Red Steel 2, Metroid Prime Trilogy. I plan on nabbing all the good stuff before it becomes Saturn levels of expensive. The vast majority of good Wii games could be considered hidden gems on most levels I reckon. I was talking with a guy in the local game store the other day about it and he noticed people were starting to sift through the Wii racks recently too so time may be short to grab some of the more rare titles cheaply.

They're already too late!
I jest. There are still some very good deals to be had on Wii games. Moreover, some of the games for that system seem to be insanely rare. I am trying to round out my collection while GameStop is practically giving away games, but some of them just cannot be acquired locally. (Seriously...I live in one of the largest cities in the country and close to several others. For many of the games I am seeking, however, there may be one copy for sale at Gamestops within 100 miles of my zip code. For others, there aren't any copies at all.)
YES! Halo: Spartan Assault's available for Windows 7! And it's on Steam! And it has a demo! And it plays well with a mouse! And it's only five bucks! Sorry, I got pissed when the game was only made available for Win 8 and having it on Win 7 just makes me happy.
I'm a bit disappointed the game plays like Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light since I was expecting it to be more in line with Robotron 2084/Warhammer 40K: Kill Squad, but it's still fun.
