Katana

Post by abeisgreat »

How much does a Katana do for now-a-days? Last time I looked they were around 200 for untested units. Have they gone up much?

I've only ever seen one for sale. Ever. So if you really want one, be prepared to undertake a bidding war. $200 for a katana dev kit is a steal personally.

Why do you want one? You do realise you can run unsigned code on the Dreamcast with no modification. You can even adjust the pot to read CD-RWs if you don't want to burn a disc if you want to test a build. Plus the Dreamcast emulator for Windows is coming along leaps and bounds these days.

Then again I guess they're only going up in value all the time so it may even get you a decent return one day. That's if you even sell it.

I have no real reason to want one, they are just cool.
