Links Awakening is by far the most praised Zelda handheld, but I think a Link Between Worlds will probably replace it on most people's Zelda lists.

I hate to break it to you all, but the best portable Zelda game is Okamiden.

Thanks!

I would actually rank the portable Zelda games:

1. Phantom Hourglass
2. Okamiden
3. Link's Awakening
4. Oracle of Ages/Oracle of Seasons
5. Minish Cap
6. Spirit Tracks

For some reason, I have not yet played Link Between Worlds(!), and I did not include the portable versions of the console Zelda games.

Ages and Seasons are different games, grow a set and rank one over the other :x

Seasons > Ages

Set grown.
Also, play Link Between Worlds, it's supplanted Awakening as best Zelda handheld game for me.

I still need to play Link Between Worlds.

I have this habit of getting all hyped up about a game, buying it at launch...... and then letting it sit and collect dust for a few years before I get to playing it.

I did the exact same thing. Bought it with my 3DS a few months ago, have played all of five minutes. I told myself I'll play it after I finish the games I currently working through, but who knows how long that'll take, and if by that time, there will be another game that demands my attention. First-world gamer problems.

Must be a Maine thing.

I did the same thing with the new Ys game... Still haven't played it.

Every time I bring a new game home I suddenly seem to remember that I own hundreds of retro games I haven't played.

Maybe I should stop buying games!
