"Space Giraffe for the PC is now available There’s a demo available for download, which will be a good way to see how well it works on your machine. I suspect my laptop will be a little slow, but that’s a good segue into new computers for Christmas I’ll have to wait to try this out, after all it’s Monday morning." http://www.the2bears.com/?p=1581 http://llamasoft.co.uk/
I posted about this game in the "games you bought despite bad reviews" thread.
It's a misunderstood game. Not perfect by any means but fun, and in a way very unique.
It's one of the only games that I know of that requires you to play for a certain amount of time so that you can really attune your senses to it, especially your ears. It's all about perception. As you progress, the audio cues given off by certain enemies and actions become essential to your success. The fact that it's hard to see what's going on is the point. That said, you can reduce (or crank up) the difficulty by adjusting the music settings in the options menu. Turn down the music and you'll tone down the visualizer in the background, thus making it easier to see the field of play and easier to hear the audio cues.
