It's really only the disc that commands any money. I've had about 6 or so of the GB players come through my hands while thrift hunting, usually attached to the consoles at time of purchase. I've still only managed to find 1 disc in all that time. Lucky for me, it was CIB and $2. 8)

Lucky, I just want to find it with the disc or find the disc for a decent price so I can get the thing cheap.

Just keep an eye on eBay it might take a while but one will pop up. I got lucky and after a week or two of waiting snagged a player with disc for $30 shipped. That is about as low as they go anymore though. Hardly ever see them with disc in the wild anymore :P.

Last GBA player with disc I saw locally was at a yard sale about a year back and the lady had $80 on it :P.

$80? That's insane. I don't think I would have been able to contain my displeasure with her. People can price things at whatever they want, but that's just ignorant and stupid. Those sellers drive me absolutely bonkers.

I was kind of disappointed she was selling all her GBA and Game Cube games for $3-4 a piece and I got some really good titles(Mario Party 7, Super Mario Bros. Classics, etc.) :P. Thought the Gameboy player was going to be reasonable since her prices were so low, but apparently she was looking on Amazon and Ebay at CIB prices for the player and went on a rant about how rare it was and that they were selling for $100+ .

Run into people like that all the time  .

Ehh I'll just hold onto the hope that I can grab one of the ones I found pretty cheaply on ebay just gotta play the waiting game since i'm not bidding this soon on them only to have them go up to 40-70...even if they do have the disc.

Got Odama today. It looks like the game can be sold separately from the original boxed version. The game is sealed!

I've seen other cased games that were either marked not for resale, had no UPC, or no artwork at all be shrunk and inside packages before. It also might just be that they were already on the assembly line for everything else related to packing it up, so changing things up just for that few hours that particular game was being run through it to skip the shrink was more trouble than it was worth before moving on to the game afterwards that needed shrinking again.

One thing I meant to mention earlier when we were discussing GameCube Phantasy Star stuff:

It is after all, an exclusive Phantasy Star game to the GameCube. Besides the card based combat, another change is a more robust single player campaign then the earlier Online games had. Worth looking into if you're a collector.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.
