GGs to Theli and cha cha. No cookies for me though. :P

Kinda sad turnout tonight. I thought this was the game everyone played?

Oh well, looking forward to GGAC+R next week. I've been wanting to learn that for a while. Anyone got any tips? I think I want to play Millia.

GGs tonight guys.

@TSTR- Have you played any airdasher/anime games before? Milia is great but requires a lot of instant air dashing and precision. Easier characters to play would be like Slayer, Sol, Ky, Axl and Anji, if you like any of them that is.

Given with what you like to do with Ryu, I think Sol would best suit you.

I've messed with GG before a little, but not much. I just kinda wanted to try something different from my typical "main character syndrome." Getting tired of DPs and fireballs. I wanna throw hairpins and do disc mixups!

You better get reading then, son: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/index.ph ... guide-wip/

Aside from that VERY useful guide (and section to peruse on the forums) to sort through, I would give my personal beginner tips for her:

- Since you are new to the game you will be using basics a lot more like throw set ups. Learn how to use her turbofall (j.236K) and forward roll (214K) to set up throws and learn her basic throw combo. Her throw combo can vary from character to character, but at first just learn one for basic sized characters like Sol or Ky.

- Her j.D can be a VERY effective poking tool while air dashing in or out, knocks down on hit and sets up disks nicely. Learn it's range and how low you can activate it on air dash arcs. This character has a lot of jumping attack options and can be a real superiority in the air, learn how all of her air attacks in general hit (against both air to air and grounded) and how fast they are.

- Her forcebreak disk (236D- requires 1/4 meter) is an amazing get out of jail free card. Still activates even if trading hits and holds opponents for easy combo or mix up set ups... or even as a defensive options to get out of pressure and regain composure.

- Her 214P low Iron Savior is good up close, very hard to see coming. Don't use it full screen as it is very punishable that way. If you can learn how to tiger knee her Bad Moon (j.236P), which is essential for disk wake up games anyways, this low is a super effective mix up as they look almost identical on start up.

- She's obviously a momentum based character, learn how to score hard knockdowns out of all states (jumping, dashing, standing, cancels, gatling combos) and get used to buffering HS/D in disk activations and how to combo off hit.

Good luck soldier, I love Millia, but she is real hard to play at the beginner level vs other beginners who can spam shit freely when they get in on her. She requires a lot of knowledge to become a wrecking ball!

T-minus one day until some GGAC+R action. 8) Hope to see some new faces in there!

I've put in some decent practice this week, gonna play a little online tonight to make sure the lobby features aren't as bad as some of the more recent games we've played :P

Yeah, I guess I should start playing this to get ready. :P

Might not go with Millia, in that case. Maybe mess around with Ky and Sol to see what's up. Either way, my body is ready to be bodied tomorrow!

I will be there. Sol and Ky are probably the easiest to play. Some of the characters are super hard too :I

Any more willing and able GG disciples going to join us tonight at 8pm?

I'll be sending out invites on PSN promptly at 8pm EST, if you haven't added me to your PSN FL yet, just post here and I will add you.

We will also be using the RB IRC channel to communicate and coordinate: http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... 15&t=15848

Hope to see some new faces today! This is a good opportunity to learn the game vs other new players and talk about ins and outs of the system.
