Oh come on, they weren't that bad.
OK the cutscenes weren't that bad. The VOICE ACTING is.....what's bad.

I think Ben Stein could do a better version of Zero's infamous "What am I fighting for?" speech.

sequels i had i hoped for that should have "more of the same gameplay" "direct continuation" type of sequel

Chrono Trigger
Super Mario RPG
Secret of Mana
super castlevania 4
UN squadron
demon's crest
Run saber
batman returns
cybernator
TMNT 4

if the Donkey Kong Country, Mega Man X or Super Star Wars series were any indication, its that we're willing to play more of the same thing anyway. sucks that most of these didn't have sequels or had one albeit wildly different or was released on another console.

but i guess as opposed to todays games were sequels comes out in an annual basis with mostly indeed more of the same.

That's a good one, it would've been cool even if they just added more weapons/planes/stuff and that's it.

Sticking with Capcom, a Knights of the Round sequel would've been interesting if they'd gone a step further with the leveling system.

I always found it funny how Capcom made 2 games with similar themes - Knights of The Round and King of Dragons, both released to arcades in the same year, and both had SNES ports in the same month.

Well it has been quite a while since I watched Area 88, but as I recall:
Just about everyone dies, then the main character completes his contract and gets to go home.
So a sequel wouldn't really make sense.

I would have bought Super Scope Seven.
