Alright, this finally dropped on the US PSN for the Vita!
I tried out the demo, and was a little hesitant to be honest. The songs didn't seem too varied, and the highest difficulty song was an absolute cakewalk.
I decided to chance it though, and was quite glad I did. The tracks they chose for the demo don't do a good job at representing the wide variety of music here, and there are two difficulty settings higher than the two available in the demo. I've tried Hard, and it seems quite nice. I imagine the highest difficulty setting will provide a decent challenge.

PDF is pretty easy by rhythm game standards, but Extreme mode is definitely the most challenging/Most fun. The best feature the sequel could possibly include is a higher difficulty level.
So has anyone played Miku Hockey yet?
As for the demo...I'm not sure why it's limited to the boring easy
levels either. That was a poor move.

Its also unfortunate that you have to play through the songs on both Normal and Hard before getting to the real meat of the game.
Still having fun with it though. The song DYE is probably my favorite so far.
You're right about the difficulty though. I haven't hit the end-of-game songs yet (since I have to play each song three times), but it feels much easier than DJ Max to me (and obviously neither are a touch on something like IIDX)

I don't know about the Vita version, but on PS3 I never had to play normal or easy songs at all.

Well damn! Maybe I am daft, but when I go to "Play" (Or maybe its "Game"), I get the song list in Normal, but they only onlock in Hard once I've beaten them there, and then only unlock Extreme if I clear the song on Hard. The same goes for any newly unlocked songs, they are available in Easy and Normal, but thats it.
Quite an odd chance to make to the Vita port. Its not terrible though, I like the game enough to play through the songs multiple times.
There is some good fan service in this game (Not that kind!). I had a laugh when I unlocked the song "An MMORPG Adict's Anthem", and yet another when I unlocked the FOnewerl costume for clearing the song.
One thing that caught me way off guard. I wanted to try Rock Paper Scissors, which of course meant I had to play with the idol. Well, when I play a Vita game that doesn't use the back touch, I hold it like a normal handheld. I noticed that, every now and then, she would jump, as if someone was poking her ass. And yes, come to find out, instead of petting her face, you can prod the back screen and piss her off. Why did that have to add that, its just damn creepy
Do you gain anything (other than that weird feeling when you are petting a virtual idol) for doing all the side stuff? Like, unlockable songs or challenges, new options, etc?

Re: Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F (Vita/PS3)
So I don't know much about Hatsune Miku other than the fact she's a virtual idol and well, extremely popular in Japan.
But I watched a trailer for the Vita version yesterday and now I kind of want to download it. I might just do that....

Its definitely worth the price. 30 songs may sound like a short playlist, but the songs are like 3x as long as anything on DJ Max.
It really is a disgustingly charming game.

30 songs is actually more than I thought there would be. Though I hardly play rythmn games so I dont really know what's the norm.dunpeal2064 wrote:Its definitely worth the price. 30 songs may sound like a short playlist, but the songs are like 3x as long as anything on DJ Max.
