YES! I finally found a famicom adapter in a copy of Hogan's Alley.

1. Five screws
2. Odd PCB connector design
3. Weight was heavier than other cartridges
4. Black box game
5. No tab

Third time was the charm. I failed on Gyromite (didn't know about the connector design then) and Mario/Duck Hunt (didn't realize it only had 3 screws somehow).

Another story from the same store today. I was browsing the game selection and some guy brought in an N64, Gamecube with cables and I think some games and he said that they were broken so the employee says that there's a dumpster out back that he can dump them in. My Girlfriend says "I'll take them!" and the guy says sure go ahead. So we get home, I open my $5 Hogan's Alley cartridge after she tells me to stop wasting money looking for Famicom adapters in crappy games I won't play. So I find the adapter and rub it in her face, test the N64 and Gamecube; they work flawlessly. A good day all around.

Picked up one of those knock-off arcade stick in a box deals on ebay. Pleasantly surprised thus far. The sticks feel excellent, good centering, appropriate tension and a well made gate - nothing seems cheap about them.

The buttons are a little chincy, not bad, but not SANWA quality, they seem to be a slightly thinner plastic and the fit of the push button and its casing has the smallest of inconsistencies, I pushed all the buttons about 10 times each, and 2 of the buttons caught the sides at least once - I won't use those, but they give so much stuff that I can put them in a spares box and still have plenty to work with.

The wiring w/the quick connects is outstanding - this will be completely solder free.

The PCB's seem well-made enough, nothing is going to come loose on them, factory soldered connections and diodes, all looks clean and sturdy.

I have a control panel i've been wanting to do up for awhile, so i'll likely get to this over the coming weekend:

I bought the encoder only last month from him. I bought it to convert a Capcom Power Stick but never got around to it.

On my way out of a Goodwill, I saw a $15 wii in the showcase, with everything but the controllers. It was a gamecube compatible one, but I already have one so I left it for the next person.

Heh I wouldn't of minded having that one, even though today I'm going to attempt to get a gamecube at the store when I exchange the defective zelda game just so I can make use of the gameboy player when I go in and hold off for the wii u >_>

If it is still there the next time you go through Ill give you $20 plus shipping for it. I just need the Gamecube compatible Wii and the power cable.

Well technically since I exchanged my defective zelda game for it, I got a gamecube for 5.36 instead of the 24.99 it was worth. Seems nice to not have to pay full price since I'd been able to exchange the game for it :D. Of course I also picked up starfox adventures and metroid fusion for 35 but that's not really a deal compared...Even if the star fox is CIB like it appears since i see the case, and all the stuff inside including the disc.
