Will anyone join me?

Post by UBERTRON777 »

I'm going through a marathon where I play all of the games leading up to X-men vs Street Fighter. That mean I'll be playing through all of the Capcom games that contribute Street Fighter characters to the game.
Here's the rundown:

Street Fighter
Final Fight(simply because it is connected to the Street Fighter series)
Street Fighter II
Final Fight II
Super Street Fighter II
Street Fighter Alpha
Final Fight III
Street Fighter Alpha II
and finally X-men vs Street Fighter

After I do that playing as the Street Fighter characters against the X-men, I'll go back and play all of the X-men games.
I'm hoping to continue these marathons until I make it to Marvel vs Capcom 2.

Actually, I think I might just cut out Street Fighter II and skip to Super Street Fighter II. There's not a difference in the endings is there?

There are quite a lot of Marvel games, all of varying quality. If you could help me pick which ones are good, that would be great. Here are a list of the ones predating X-men vs Street Fighter.

Amazing Spider-Man vs. the Kingpin
Amazing Spider-Man
Amazing Spider-Man 2
Amazing Spider-Man 3: Invasion of the Spider-Slayers
Captain America and the Avengers (ARC)
Captain America and the Avengers (NES)
Incredible Hulk (GEN)
Marvel Super Heroes
Marvel Super Heroes: War of the Gems
Spider-Man
Spider-Man the Video Game
Spider-Man: Return of the Sinister Six
Spider-Man: Lethal Foes
Spider-Man: Web of Fire
Spider-Man and Venom: Maximum Carnage
Spider-Man and Venom: Separation Anxiety
Spider-Man and the X-men: Arcade's Revenge
Wolverine
Wolverine: Adamantium Rage
X-men (GEN)
X-men 2: Clone Wars

Eh, screw it. Maybe I'll just play through all of the Capcom games in chronological order.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

Isn't x-men for genesis the one where you have to hit the reset button to beat some level but it never actually tells you to.

God I hate that game.

Yes after beating Mojo's level you have to hit reset. Its kind of annoying, but I can see how they could think it was a good idea to make the game more interactive. When I was younger the first time this happened to me, I thought the console was messed up, but imagine my surprise when I hit reset, and the game resumed on the next level. As a child this was one of my favorite games of the time. I loved the Xmen cartoon and I loved this game when it came out. Never really got into the sequel though, and havent tried the SNES game for more than a second.. Would like to give the other games a shot soon though.

The sequel is actually pretty good. Not as difficult as the first, but still a good romp.
