Pretty pleased with that run, especially since it's a better score than my best effort on Normal Course. Managed to get 4 million on Stage 1, after that it was a bit hit-and-miss. Only got max medals on Stage 5, but a few helpful multipliers helped me to hit the extend at 8 million and reach Stage 6.
Just for completion's sake, I had a few runs on Special (Boss Only) Course and made it to Stage 6 again, and milked the Stage 1 boss for a few million too. Final score was 4,870,580.
Managed to get the 100k thing down, beat my last score by about 100k by level 4 (previous top score was by level 5), then my last run I got the extend going in to the level 2 boss and beat my score by about 1 million. Guess I was hitting some sort of multiplier without realising it.

However, pressing the A, B, and C buttons then pressing Start on the title screen will take you to an options menu. There are two difficulty levels, Normal and Very Hard. Default is NORMAL if you do not change it. The Shmups forum takes scores for both, so we'll do the same here.
Format then is -
Name - Score - Level
(but be sure to mention difficulty somewhere in your submission too just like we did last month for Battle Bakraid)
