it's not exactly a monitor, Mike. It's an old iMac, which was a whole Mac computer inside a monitor. The shell works great for such a mod.

Still pretty sad that $25 for Project Justice is a good price these days. Nice pickup on Ikaruga.

Right, but he said he gutted it and put in an LCD. I'm curious on the model # of the LCD he used.

Dang that iMac/DC mod is sweet! I have one of those same iMacs somewhere, nice machines for their time. That would also have been a nice time to invest in apple stock D'OH!

I cleared Neo XYX tonight so I'll likely put the DC back in my Hori cab since it's got the fighters and Takumi trio I like. Plus zerogunner 2 which I've neglected. Maybe give Cannon Spike a whirl before I decide to sell it because I'm thinning the collection these days. Also wouldn't mind trying REZ in a cab, oh and Cosmic smash is fun too :D

The LCD was/is a 15" HP monitor that came my wife's old PC. I threw away the shell, I may look in the trash if it's not too gross later.
From what I researched any 15" will work. I recommend taking the shell of before cutting the iMac - I cut off some screw pegs that would have been useful.

SB, I think it's safe to say that you're the hero of everyone in this thread. That mod always looked like some crazy dream project that nobody could really replicate. The fact that you did so, and in such an impressive manner is inspiring. Would be great if you took pics along the way, maybe could post up a tutorial or work-log for the rest of us. I'm sure we've all put 'iMac' on our list of 'things to keep an eye out for' now.

SAME! Let's fix this. I'll go get some if you will! Flake is right, it's 10:19 and we need to rectify this immediately.
well sadly bro, I couldn't find any Asahi. But I got a tall Sapporo in the fridge if you're around for PSO tonight. Rockin' LVL24 w/ some dangerous guns. 8)
