They actually had that one too, so i may just get it from them over the next few months....they have quite a few repros and most cheaper than what people on ebay and such will ask even for the sfc imports. I'm slowly going to get their repros since they seem decent at 35(32 or 33 after taxes and discount). Plus I'm already impressed with the tales one, it's great and even has the japanese voices to boot.ninjainspandex wrote:Get Star Ocean, one of the best SFC RPGsdarsparx wrote:Add on to my last post because i grabbed a repro of tales of phantasia for $40...which doesn't seem that bad compared to most repros out that especially on ebay. Their other repros will actually be even better to get because tales is just their most expensive to make in house(along with star fox 2 and one other i can't recall the name of)

Still the best sports video game ever. I have no problem saying that.catnip wrote:I've been playing a lot (read: a LOT) of NBA Jam. Man oh man, is that game enjoyable.
NBA Jam TE is pretty good on the SNES as well. I like it better than the Saturn version if that tells you anything.
My only gripe with that one: They took away the breaking of the glass in that version.
My question is....
WHY?????
In other SNES news, after receiving it exactly 3 weeks ago in the mail for just over 23 dollars mostly CIB, I finally beat Secret of Evermore just over half an hour ago.

How long did it take you to get through that damn flea market? Or to find it for that matterMyNameIsVince wrote:In other SNES news, after receiving it exactly 3 weeks ago in the mail for just over 23 dollars mostly CIB, I finally beat Secret of Evermore just over half an hour ago.

Which NBA jam exactly are you playing? I had a thread here discussing the best NBA Jamcatnip wrote:I've been playing a lot (read: a LOT) of NBA Jam. Man oh man, is that game enjoyable.

It's not TE or anything; were there other versions for the SNES besides vanilla and TE?RCBH928 wrote: Which NBA jam exactly are you playing? I had a thread here discussing the best NBA Jam

It took me a little while to get to it from the Desert. The Market......yeah.SNESdrunk wrote:How long did it take you to get through that damn flea market? I had a walkthrough for it and it still took me a while. What threw me off at first was that I thought I had 10 minutes to do ALL the trading so I was panicking while doing it. Eventually I just read through the trading guide and kinda went along accordingly. I did fuck up with the haggling of the guy selling the annihilation amulets and he wouldn't sell them to me anymore afterwards so I got worried, since I needed some later on. Because of it One of my files starts specially at Blimp's Cave before I head through the Desert and the Market (for the first time).
Re: How Is Your SNES Gaming Going?
I had the same thought the first time I played it, so I totally half-assed everything. I hate that part of the game. I get what they were going for but good lord, they could've made things a little less complicated and convoluted.MyNameIsVince wrote:What threw me off at first was that I thought I had 10 minutes to do ALL the trading so I was panicking while doing it.
Re: How Is Your SNES Gaming Going?
Don't know if I mentioned it on this thread or not so here it goes now that I've got 3 games for SNES(woot! XD):
- Tom and Jerry
- Super Mario World
- Tales of phantasia(save point video games repro which is actually decent and has the japanese vocals)

Good pickups dar!
What are everyone's thoughts on using guides/walkthroughs for classic games? I only ask because there are games I truly wish I could go back and re-experience with fresh eyes, and walkthroughs take that aspect away. What I wouldn't give to have no knowledge of Super Metroid or Link to the Past again...
