see, I was talking about this to Omerta recently (and Stark a couple weeks ago). NGPC games and hardware are really weird. There's a pretty big range. But if you look at eBay completed listings, it's not unrealistic to nab a system for $40-ish right now. Yet strangely it's not weird to see them go for $80 either. It's just odd. And this goes for boxed or loose. Certainly there's maybe collectors into certain colors or whatever, sure, but it is kind of a big swing in prices any day of the week.

I just hope that the current lull (just checked ebay prices again) continues for a bit. I'm getting interested in the NGPC again and I'd like to shore up my collection now that I've regained employment.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Thanks! Just remember, the price guide reflects complete w/ box & manual, US copies of the games. So cart-only copies, and import versions will fluctuate differently.
Will bear that in mind. Just got some good use out of it as found a copy of
19. Neo Geo Cup '98 Plus Color - $40

for just over £9 with postage lurking on Amazon marketplace. Presuming the buyer hasn't conned me and its not the Japanese version, I'll be quite pleased.

Little tip I've found while scouring online shops search for "NeoGeo" instead of "Neo Geo" that space made all the difference in the end!

Will keep hunting. I'm actually more excited about collecting for the system than before now games have mysteriously dried up.

is that 9 pounds for a complete copy? If so, nice!

Also, I assume you're getting PAL versions - which I haven't paid as much attention to prices on as I'm going for a US set.

With eBay, I find that "neo geo pocket" brings up "neogeo pocket" as well. (I don't put it in quotes). Not sure about other sites.

It was advertised as coming with the box and manual (unlike a similarly priced one which was listed as cart only) in "very good condition". No picture though other than Amazon's stock one which is my only concern. I thought I'd take the risk though.

All my current games are cart only but if I do pick up boxed copies I think I'd favour the PAL versions as they come in the nice hard shell cases, not the cardboard boxes that are more easily damaged with wear and tear.

Yeah, Ebay shows up both but Amazon requires a more specific search it seems.
