Famicom only games worth playing?

So now that I have an Everdrive N8 and an SD card filled with every rom for every game it's time for me to discover some Famicom only games. Now keep in mind I can't read Japanese. We really need a Famicom Hidden Gems section on this site.

The first game I checked out is Moon Crystal, a fun little platformer with pretty good graphics for 8-bit and nice cut scenes that rival Ninja Gaiden. Shame this game goes for $200+





what else do you guys recommend?

Over Horizon was released in PAL land, but not in the US.

Shmup wise at least, they are in the NES Hidden Gems article. Perhaps only those were mentioned due to language barriers.

I enjoyed all of these, but some I've never made it that far into. My favorites of the bunch are Seiken Psycho Calibur, Cosmo Police Galivan, Joy Mech Fight and Radia Senki. They're the games that I keep wondering why they were never officially released outside Japan...
I used to play a lot of these on my Gameboy Micro using Pocketnes.

YS I, II, AND III ARE ON THE FAMICOM

SO IS ROMANCIA (DRAGON SLAYER III)

and all have english translations if you have a flashcart or use an emulator. Though there are better versions of the Ys games. I'd rather play ys 1&2 on the TG16/PCE or the PSP remake. And of all the versions of Y's 3 I prefer the Genesis version.
