I dont believe you!
Pics please!
to answer the post, I think you may still get lucky and find a game at a fleamarket for a few dollars.
its just the vultures/re-sellers you have to look out for.
Personally, I never worry about CIB games. Locally, finding SNES games have gone down to a trickle. But I occasionally get lucky and find a game.
But it was true, some years back you could get most any SNES game for less than $5.00!
The current trend will end soon, when N64 collectors/nostalgics will want to play their Mario 64/Goldeneye/Diddykong racing and etc.
Bringing the prices of these games to SNES levels.
then people will complain over how N64 games got real expensive.

I have no idea. I'm hoping for the same thing. I don't want to pay 165 dollars for Mega Man X3 that's for sure.
But that doesn't mean deals still can't happen. Shit I snagged a nearly CIB Secret of Evermore for 23 bucks earlier this month (I say "nearly" because the only stuff it didn't come with were the posters).

It's true, deals do come along now and then. I got a complete Illusion of Gaia last year for $15. That said, finding stuff in the wild completely depends on where you live. Seattle is a tech town and a hipster town, so there are lots of retro stores that know exactly what they can charge for stuff. And the thrift stores have been drying up over the last couple of years. The Seattle Goodwill sells the good stuff on ebay so you can't even find it in the stores. http://stores.ebay.com/Seattle-Goodwill ... 34.c0.m322
Same goes for Craigslist. It's just over priced stuff, and people (like us) asking folks to sell them their old games. I guess this is turning into a rant about retro collecting in general. Man I wish I was more into collecting 10 years ago (plus had more disposable income).

I'm still new to posting on racket but is there a way to post a picture instead of a link.

You need to have the picture hosted somewhere, then take that link, click the Img button, then put the link in between the tags.SlyPeacH wrote: I'm still new to posting on racket but is there a way to post a picture instead of a link.

Would be great if they did, sure the stores around here(that aren't that close), and maybe the flea markets have some for cheap, but at least from what I remember from computer works they don't have much of a selection. I'd love to find the places where you guys find them cheap. Of course I'm going to hope the flea markets have some because i might check this weekend...

I recommend Imgur.com, a pic only needs 1 view every 6 months to stay active and its alot easier to navigate than other image hosting services, also has less ads.Hobie-wan wrote:You need to have the picture hosted somewhere, then take that link, click the Img button, then put the link in between the tags.SlyPeacH wrote: I'm still new to posting on racket but is there a way to post a picture instead of a link.
