Really wish the DC PSO had an Ultimate difficulty. I'd love to hop on with you guys, but it seems like a very small amount of content compared to the GC version?

Is there much to do now that you've downed Falz? I mean, obviously you can just farm him for cool loot, but there's no "next step"?

v.2 has Ultimate. It always has. It just doesn't have Episode 2 content. Sylverant's servers do have seasonal quests, previously unavailable Japanese quests that have been translated, and there's enough variety.

I will say though Dunpeal that I'm looking into another Gamecube to hook up my Broadband Adapter -- my other Gamecube is starting to get wonky with its lens and I know PSO is intense on the reading end. You can connect to Sylverant via Gamecube too.

Oh cool! For some reason I thought it didn't have the difficulty modes, but maybe I was just thinking about v1.

I was wanting to just use the Wii workaround to play online, since I don't own a GC. I'm guessing that, even though I could connect to Sylverant, I would not be able to play games with people on DC?

I've just invested a lot into the GC version already (multiple characters over lvl 100, lots of lvl200 Mags, etc), so starting over is daunting. Plus, I really dig episode 2.

But, at the same time, playing with you guys would be cool.

for me, a big goal is to eventually finish Offline Mode.

I don't know about GCN version for me really. I feel like if I need to play Ep2 then I could just stick w/ Blue Burst on PC.

Well, another HUGE thing for me is that GC version has split-screen, up to 4 players. So, I can play alone, with the lady, or online.

In fact, my girl is up to level 65. Just 15 more and she can finally see the glory that is Ultimate.

Definitely check out Ep2 at some point though. Its 3rd stage is my favorite stage in both ep 1&2.

my wife has no interest in PSO. But if she did, then I'd just have her play BB on her laptop. So no need for splitscreen. :P

My fiancée has no interest in PSO either. She indulges me and watches from time to time. But 4 player split screen is quite awesome.

Episode 2 is pretty worthwhile, just to give it a go for the continuation of the story. There's some serious fan-service for the past RPG's in the soundtrack and zones.

Ha, my girl doesn't play too many action-y games, but she seems to always have a thing for dungeon crawler-esk hack n slash stuff. Gauntlet: Dark Legacy, PSO, and Diablo III are in our line up regularly.

Plus, I didn't have a DC, so I first "discovered" PSO by just randomly buying Ep1&2+ when it was released, since I was working at GS at the time.

If you have multiple computers, though, then it is probably an unnecessary port. Then again, if I bought a 2nd computer, I'm pretty sure the lady would convince me to play WoW with her again. Lol.
