Where can I buy Pocky wholesale?

I did a Google search for "buy pocky wholesale", and virtually nothing about just that. Sure there were places to buy Pocky itself, and sure Asian Food Grocer offers discounts for buy large quantities, but what I REALLY want is to buy it wholesale.

However... what could be better than that is a place where I can buy that and other Japanese snacks and such wholesale, like Ramune or those little Koala Bear things.

Or is Asian Food Grocer my best bet?

I googled "Japan snack wholesale import" and found a few sites. Some of which had Pocky and varying prices only in bulk. Like 8 unit cases with 10 boxes per unit for 115 US. That's 1.43 a box... doesn't sound good to me. But then again I have NO IDEA what that garbage costs. The only experience with it is my ex-girlfriend who lived on the shit.

So... that's 80 cases or 80 individual packages? And I guess in the long-run, it might be, providing the buyer has disposable income. But then again, I might not be the only one scarfing on it. My little bro will probably take some and so will his friends (he's got a TON of friends, who ALL come over after school), but that's a maybe. So... 80 boxes over two weeks (the time in between paychecks) times the sum of one consumer and about 4-12 potentials, at a rate of about 1-2 packs/day... that's probably just enough for two weeks.

No, I don't. But... I've got an idea for a store which would be the only one in my town, possibly in the tri-county area.

Basically, it's a store that sells things of an esoteric and/or eclectic nature. Basically, it would sell cult films (major distributors would include Full Moon, Troma, Something Weird, Blue Underground, et al), special interests magazines (Heavy Metal, Fangoria, et al), Japanese snacks, sci-fi and horror and fantasy literature (authors of choice would include Clive Barker, H.P. Lovecraft, R. A. Salvatore, and so on), comics (mostly indie but would cater to mainstream works), merchandising for above, board games (like Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne, D&D, Warhammer, etc), and music (mostly foreign artists like Gackt and The Pillows, Rocky Horror-related stuff, and anything else that I like). Also, there'd be TV's showing trailers for the stuff we sell and the music playing over the PA would be stuff that we sell in the store.

My brother and I actually sat around playing jest on Troma. I don't know WHO it was but someone decided to stick like half if not more of Lloyd Kauffman's films on XBLM

I would seriously look into all this from several different angles. I say this since I know Gamesworkshop requires a minimum order a month (and it is not a negligible amount). Some boardgame companies also require minimum sales, Days of Wonder use to (I dont know if they still do, that was back during the early Memoir 44 days).

Im not saying its not possible, I love flgs's and support them when I can find them, Im just saying be very careful. It is very easy to get in way over your head quickly.

I recall them going for $1.80 or so in a CA Japanese supermarket. Perhaps you should ask the purchaser at the closest JP market and ask if you can order in bulk as you don't have a business ID. And AFAIK, you cannot purchase wholesale w/o a membership (Costco etc) or a business ID.
Besides, Pocky ain't that great... Toppo is where it's at.

Without a legitimate business id your best bet is going to be Sams Club/Walmart. Once you have an said id you can order directly from Gilco fairly easily. Granted since you seem to be the obstinate type - take that any way you care to - http://www.wabisabi-trading.com/
Has been good to folk I know in the past. They do both wholesale and they do online auctions.

Half boxes go for 90 cents at Walmart, normal boxes are $1.80-1.90 at most stores that carry them. Best of luck.
