I can kind of see that. I'm not the biggest fan of the Peace Walker era character/plot wise, so I'm not totally in love here, but once the pieces connecting to MGS and Solid start falling into play it'll probably be amazing.isiolia wrote:Maybe it was the change in voice actors, but it felt more like a spiritual sequel than part of the series.
My friend and I beat it last night and it was totally worth it if you're fan. Got a few hours worth and hit 15% or something.
People who complained about the lack of comedy must have skipped the mission where you rescue Kojima. How can you not laugh at that whole scene?
The gameplay was a lot like MGS4 and Peace Walker combined to perfection.
Totally worth it. Plot/Story =/= full game content, especially here. As I said, all the other MGS games can be beaten quickly in a few hours if you strip out the story elements. This, taking in elements from Peace Walker and all its replayable aspects, might arguable be longer than some of the other games. There's a ton of mileage here if you're willing to take the drive. But yes, I can more than likely only see this appealing to established fans of the series.

Have you guys been playing on the last-gen consoles or the new ones? How does it fair on PS3?

I can think of about 1000 other things I'd rather do than watch a 25-minute "angry" review. I'd rather get punched in the nuts by Solid Snake himself.Pulsar_t wrote:

I played it on PS3, and it looks great for a PS3 game, and plays fine.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Have you guys been playing on the last-gen consoles or the new ones? How does it fair on PS3?

I played in both systems and I think the PS3 version has many slowdowns and pop-up problems... I´m stick to PS4 version, this game truly feels as next gen the differences between PS3 and PS4 are tremendous!isiolia wrote:I played it on PS3, and it looks great for a PS3 game, and plays fine.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Have you guys been playing on the last-gen consoles or the new ones? Some guy playing like a Boss (one of the most experienced devs I think?)
Skip to 15 minutes in:
This is nuts, I didn't even know you could do half the stuff that's going on here. Nice showcase of the depth here gameplay wise.

If I had a PS4, that's what I'd have gotten it forAfrokid wrote: I played in both systems and I think the PS3 version has many slowdowns and pop-up problems... I´m stick to PS4 version, this game truly feels as next gen the differences between PS3 and PS4 are tremendous!
Relative to other PS3 games it seemed fine.
