I'm jealous. That's a game that's been a low priority on my want list since it came out. I was waiting for the price to drop to a certain point before picking it up, but it never seemed to go that low. IIRC, it was about $17 at GameStop. I caved and picked up a copy at that price the other day, but only because it was mint and not the Nintendo Selects version and I had a buy two get one free coupon.

Punch Out!! is one of the best games on the Wii, and one of the few I purchased brand new at full retail price. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Agreed though I only see a couple from the set to go up in price or difficult to find: Mario Galaxy and Twilight Princess.

On another note I remember Mario Galaxy 2 became increasingly rare with prices elevating as well. It has come down and amazon had stocked them again recently.

I got links shooting game for 44 cents. I still am thinking about getting the xenoblade trilogy. I still don't know if it's worth the 90+ bucks when I get save and get the games I wanna get like donkey kong country and a few others. The trilogy looks so freaking awesome though

Link's Crossbow Training is AWESOME. Any one that doesn't own it yet, they should definitely go pick up a copy now since it's only 44 cents! You'll get them disc only. I'm pretty sure since it only came in a cardboard sleeve that GameStop always threw out the sleeve upon trade in. But still, 44 cents! Just gotta pick up the Zapper, which can be had to pretty cheap right now as well (about $7 at GameStop right now IIRC).

As for Xenoblade... You mean Xenoblade Chronicles or the Operation Rainfall Trilogy (Xenoblade, The Last Story, Pandora's Tower).

I picked up Xenoblade at retail when it first game out, so I've paid little or no attention to the price ever since. If people feel the price is never going to come down, and possible go up over time, then I'd say just bite the bullet and get a copy now. That is, if you really think it's a game you'd enjoy. Personally, I think it's one of the best experience on the Wii. If you end not feeling like it wasn't worth $90, well it's not like you can't resell it.

I'm pretty sure Xenoblade Chronicles is $60 at Gamestop since the reissue, and every store I've been into just has these reissued copies sitting around, readily available. Prices online reflect this somewhat.

Frankly, I'd be surprised if it's even uncommon at this point. The number of copies available on Ebay, and sold in the last week would lead me to believe that it's quite common. Prices on it probably aren't going to fall much more, though. It's gained too much notoriety. The average collector/reseller has been led to believe the game is ultra rare. I doubt anything will change that perception at this point.

I'm more inclined to believe that mas is thinking of the original metal case release of Metroid Prime Trilogy.

I feel like all the good Wii games at GameStop below $10 have been picked already, at least at my locations. :x

No pierrot, I do mean xenoblade trilogy which is xenoblade, last story, and Pandora's tower. My store has them used and they have metroid prime trilogy. I want them all. I just dont know if its worth swallowing the 90+ dollars for 3 games and 50+ for metroid if I really don't care for RPG's or first person shooters but there so God damn beautiful and there the best games on the wii.

Damn i have so much more to get. Nintendo selects, both red steels, both no more heroes, Mario kart, rayman, sin and punishment so much more. I should probably think what's going to be out there longer. The average 20 and under game or the games I mentioned earlier the xenoblade saga and metroid trilogy.

Both games DID NOT GET A SECOND PRODUCTION RUN AND ARE NOT REISSUES! Sorry for the shout, but this comes up once in a while, Gamestop does not have the means to create new pressed discs.

Gamestop just went nuts last year offering a more then usual amount on buyback, then sold it at almost double the price six months later after "refurbishing" them back at their Refurbish Center. Polishing the discs and swapping worn cases with new cases from their stock. Sadly, many a tin Metroid Trilogy case got tossed and possibly some decent Wii games were gutted of their cases for the Xeonoblade and Metroid Trilogy refurbish.

Its been known that Gamestop uses your purchases to keep a record of what you play when using the Power Rewards card. One of their tools is to offer you a Trade In Credit as in the case of the current 50% Extra. They sent me an EMail on two expensive games I had bought from them in the past, even with the bonus I think they are profiting too much!

XEONOBLADE CHRONICLES New $49.99 / Used $79.99 / Bonus 50% Trade In Credit $48.00

METROID TRILOGY Used $64.99 / Bonus 50% Trade In Credit $40.00

Both of these titles average over 100 bucks CIB used online!

Funny how a used copy of Xenoblade costs more then a new copy. Yeah, this game will keep going up in value. The crazy part on the figures above is that these are high on the Trade In Credit to Sale percentage ratio compared to most of their other Trade Ins! Normally on any games traded in, you'll be lucky to get more then a few bucks or even one dollar.

Thanks but No Thanks Gamestop. I plan on keeping my games till I die.
