Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Dr. Phil is teaching kids the "value of money" and he has a bunch of stuff the kids are trying to guess the price of.
The pile of video games consists of Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Call of Duty: World at War, and Mortal Kombat: Deception.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I'm in a weird place now as far as collecting goes.
Seems like I can find 7th gen games for cheaper than most of the remaining retro stuff I want. I'll probably nab a bunch of PS3/Xbox 360 stuff while it's super cheap (I'm basically "done" with Wii collecting) and then shift my focus back to the older shiz.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
You are not alone. For me, purchasing "retro" game is typically more expensive than getting used PS3 and Wii games. Those consoles are basically where other consoles were a decade ago, and now is probably the time to be building your collections for them.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Seems like I can find 7th gen games for cheaper than most of the remaining retro stuff I want. Yeah it seems like prices for new games are even plummeting down to the $9.99-$14.99 range. I love it.
More randomness - Some Kirby games I didn't know existed until now:

Clive Barker's Jericho
Time Crisis 4
TimeShift
for less than $6...total.

Cool, I didn't know Kirby Star Stacker had a Super Famicom version.

Let me know how Timeshift is. Like most of my 360 games, it is gathering dust.prfsnl_gmr wrote:That's way too much!BoneSnapDeez wrote:Yeah it seems like prices for new games are even plummeting down to the $9.99-$14.99 range. I love it.This afternoon, I picked up:

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I know, I know...They aren't the most popular games. The reviews on Jericho are all over the place - some 3/10, some 8/10 - and the game is definitely not a generic military-themed FPS. (Moreover, it was developed by the team behind Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.) I don't have to squeeze much enjoyment out of it to justify the price. Likewise, Timeshift received good reviews from most ciritics, and it has some interesting puzzle mechanics that intrigue me. It also cost less than an iPhone app.GSZX1337 wrote:Cool, I didn't know Kirby Star Stacker had a Super Famicom version.

The only game I am actually worried about is Time Crisis 4...

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Jericho is a little rough around the edges. Undying is the shit though.
