I think every guy was, that was until she started talking about "shit" and smelling her index finger in videos. Gross.

Lots of Dubliners and The Brogue, and assorted Irish folk bands. Music will be a bit louder when company starts to arrive.

To be on the safe side, I'm closing the dart board cabinet and setting up Wii darts.

Went back and dug up my stuff from the Wipers again. Most notably, Pushing The Extreme (from Youth of America).

Some of their albums (original copies) are just as hard to find as video games these days. Good thing I've got them

Kind of a super crazy-pants user, though.

I'm always bemused by musicians who have weird/no rhythm in their bodies. Could be the drugs.
I saw her live once... I'll stick to her recorded work.
Not a surprising sentiment.

wikipedia wrote:Marshall’s live shows have been known for their unpolished nature, with songs beginning and ending abruptly or blending into one another without clear transitions. She has also cut short performances without explanation.[40] On some occasions this has been attributed to stage fright[41] and the influence of alcohol.

Recently, Marshall's performance style has been said to be much more enthusiastic and professional. An article in Salon[42] called The Greatest "polished and sweetly upbeat", stating that Marshall was "delivering onstage". In the article, Marshall states that her newfound musical collaborators and sobriety are largely responsible for her increased confidence onstage.
wikipedia wrote:By the turn of the century[broad statement as Marshall's career started 6 years before 2000], Marshall's live performances had become erratic and unpredictable, with The New Yorker suggesting, "It is foolhardy to describe a Cat Power event as a concert," citing "rambling confessions" and "[talking] to a friend's baby from the stage."[50] Marshall later attributed this period to a drinking problem, telling HARP magazine in 2006 "I didn't know I was messed up."[51] Marshall has admitted abusing alcohol in the past; in a 2006 interview with The New York Times, she declared herself to be sober, which she defined as having had "seven drinks in seven months."[52]
Love that definition of sobriety—

I believe it's spelled M-T-V.

VH1 is the one that's for your standard mother, so you're off by 20 years.

It would benefit you to actually read the thread.

I've been digging a few newer releases the past week or so:

The Hold Steady: Teeth Dreams

and

Cloud Nothings: Here and Nowhere Else

I think both are among the best 2014 albums I've picked up this year.

I was basically saying that MTV is intended for 14-year-olds while VH1 is more a mix of adult contemporary and shitty E!-Channel-esque celebudreck that only courts people in their 30s.
